Just got back.

*sigh*

Just got back from 5 days with the extended family. People I haven't seen in 2 years almost and I honestly....

don't care.

My grandmother is one of the most unkind people I have ever met. My mother has a weird sense of self-righteousness that makes me want to stab my eardrums out with a spork.

The one person that I really wanted to see while I was up there, I only ended up being able to hang out with for a few hours last night. My mother, knowing full well how much it meant to me, refused to give me a ride over to her house, refused to let me use the car to drive myself, and refused to let me ask another relative for a ride. Just couldn't bring herself to help me out.

So I took a cab.

You people have any clue how expensive a taxi is? Cost me $22 each way.
Could not freaking believe it. But, it was the first time I'd seen her in a year and a half, it will probably be a similar length of time before I see her again, so it was worth it to me.

Random post.

Great friends, good weather in general, so-so music to listen to, bad food, and downright terrible tv shows.

I guess life is good all around though.

Army and stuff

Finally got in touch with a recruiter who isn't going to try and run me in circles. Looks like I'll be going up to the processing station next thursday to get physical stuff out of the way. I already took the ASVAB test, in which I got a 98 out of a possible 99. 225 question test and I only got 1 wrong. They said I'm pretty much qualified to do anything I want except be an MP or a humvee driver, and only because of my driving record.

So things are moving forward. I put another few applications in, cause I figured I'm gonna need money if I'll be around a little bit yet. Hopefully somebody will call me back and I'll be working again.

Bike and stuff

Went out with Joe and good some good vids of me playing on the bike. Got a few of me burning through Rothsville road, and also some wheelies. We taped my digi-cam to my helmet and I went flying down the road. Apparantly I pissed off somebody when I passed them, cause the dude pulled over just to bitch me out. Woohoo! Chemical Burn!

Yeah, been helping travis with his new jeep. Took us 3.5 hours to remove 6 bolts from the rollcage. I have rust in my eyes, steel shavings embedded in my hands, and a tingling chemical burn from the rust-eater we were using.

But its fun, and he seems to always get beer afterwards...
